The Gianlts Go Marching In
A huge Egashira (Japanese funny man) came to Baba meeting area. Body height of 13m! Recently a TV animation “Attack on Titan” is popular at Baba and there was a costume party. Does this have some relation?

The male is Tomoyan. His girlfriend Koyuki also came as a giant. Somehow a girl is scarier than a guy…

Also a bicycle is huge. Different from the micro avatar that was introduced before that has a merit to be able to do air races in a SIM this huge avatar is only for showing off, occupying space and just annoying. If they were generated in volume, we may have to ask Ellen (the hero in the comic) to come. There was someone with the similar costume flying around at that tme, but he looked a bit feeblish…

Clubhouse open
The rainy season in Japan was over. Last Saturday was an opening of Baba Seaside Clubhouse.
Baba Meeting Area: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Dromio/235/40/26

Although this is a tiny beach, Kasumi set various joyful things. On the right, there are some wash are hung out.

The small seaside clubhouse was opened as per usual. The Namihei is also a long-established clubhouse to people in the know. The red store curtain of Yakitori is the same one that was used at the nostalgic yakitori shop Kikyou…

This is the yakitori shop Kikyou in 2008. Kikyou was a popular club with more than 800 members at that time. Across the street, there was the famous club Sekigetuka that was introduced in a SL guide book. In those days, my PC was slow and did not have good picture quality, but it was exciting. Not to be an old lady talking about good old days…

The site is in front of Kazimi’s home, next to the pier where a yacht start line is.

The clubhouse is situated at the east end of Baba meeting area that I introduced before. Dance parties are held every Saturday. Next one may be a samba carnival. Please join! My gallery is also in the neighborhood. At this time the exhibition is still Team ASH and my composite pictures. Please drop in too.

L$20,000!
UWA 3D Art Challenge is now at the final stage. The deadline for audience participation program is July 10. This is not a popularity vote but to guess the top ten awarded by the official judging panel. Win a share of L$20,000!
UWA: http://uwainsl.blogspot.jp/2013/06/reflections-uwa-centenary-3d-art.html

At the page shown above, there is a list of all arts together with LM that lead directly to each art. Anyone can participate by listing top ten arts on a note card, and on the title put your name and the words REFLECTIONS UWA Centenary 3D Audience Event, and send it to Jayjay Zifanwe. I think this has more possibility than lotto. I introduced this last month, but still you can be in time.

Dance party
A dance party was held at Café Pleiades on last Saturday. It is a simple ball room but the interior will be remodeled every month. The June theme was hydrangea. It is a formal dance party with dress code for couples but it said a single could be accepted and a general manager kindly danced with me. It may have another new event in July.

I wandered which dress to be worn but ended up with the brightest one that I wore for the party at Venice once. I counted my outfit and found there are about 700 sets, 50 of them are formal dress, but not too often I have a chance to wear them. I could come here frequently to wear different one every time, but it may cost… Coming events may be announced in the above blog.

Under the SL10B
The main stage of SL10B this time had two SIMs with undersea. Contrasting with the desert last time?

Put out my head out of the water. The huge coral reef shown above was spread in this SIM.

The next SIM with many booths also has undersea, but most sections were left vacant.

There were some booths that put main stage undersea. Is this a tea party of Alice? There is also Cheshire cat.

A cool mermaid stature was set alone under an event booth. I envy creators who can do this kind of shape fleely…

There are three couples dancing in a stage undersea. They are using voice chat that is very natural and seems to be felt at home with them. The sounds are very clear without any background noise. The lady’s voice was calm and intelligent and the man’s few words were so alluring that gave me a shudder. Although I would not like voice-chatting because it is too realistic and brings in different image but they were so nice that I almost thought that my exotic Japanese English could be OK, but some of them addressed me with text-chat… I took some memorial photo outside of the hall with many fish.

Another snapshot with seaweeds. Similar diving gear was provided there free.

I was introduced this place by Kazumi. This is Abyss Observatory, of which Yana made a cool movie at her blog, ‘The World of Yana’. Different from recent ‘Machinima’ that moves camera more than subjects, a photographer Yana did nice framing and well depicted the live movement of sea animals in this limited space.
