From Japan to SL

Manic Head. Normally the face of sculpture is a common beauty or blurred in detail, but those of Stabitha are all real and scary.




Evely face could be said as handsome or beauty, but somewhat terrible. The element of fear might be on the eyes and cheeks.














This is an AI avatar by Musichero at SL21B adult corner, who makes sexy chat by herself, and is just a normal beauty, but after watching the faces by Stabitha, this looks also scary. Even the content of the chat sounds rather terrible.

Hand Bar. In these two SIMs, there are several meeting areas like a club or bar.




In those bars, the taps for the drink are set on a constellation of human heads.




The served spirits might be fear from their heads, which does not bring you in a dream but a nightmarish world.




The facial expression of the server differs respectively. The served spirits could be not only fear, but also insecurity, jealousy, misery, or paddy…









I asked her about it and she said that all facial expressions are neither from real person nor digital art tool, but from her pure imagination. The software that Stabitha uses is a combination of Daz3d, Zbrush, and many more ones, but all designs are based on her own dream. But come to think about it, itself might be terrible

As I was impressed by the arts by Stabitha Blowhard at the SL21B, I visited her art SIMs. This could be the original of the one at SL21B, Fight the Monster, where it was fighting against BOM monsters disguising as a birthday cake, but here the monster could be invisible, inside one.




Stabitha’s full-SIM art is using two SIMs. She kindly allowed to use SSs in my blog and give me some comments.
“Whats Lost Spirits and Fear of Wellness are representations of both my real life experiences, the nightmares that followed and the internal world they created. I often travel to the same places in my dreams. They change often but always stay the same. It is therapeutic for me. “




Night Terror. When you had a terrible dream and enveloped yourself completely in a sheet, the sheet itself would cling closely and smother you. The terror in this SIM is different from the ones at Halloween that could be a bit humorous in some cases, but the fear that comes from within.




Naga, that could be said beautiful, but terrible if appeared in a dream.




Steampunk Doll. It could be also a nightmare if parts of your body were transformed to machines. Though I would welcome if myself were uploaded to an AI hardware together with my conscious and emotion.




Another theme of Stabitha could be hands, it is really terrible if many of them come together.

Theme this year is “Element”. There are exhibitions as Element of Space Flight, or Element of Speed, but I think the most important element of SL is avatars, and human behind it. I picked up some human bodies among the presentations.




The four dancing joyful figures are made by Stabitha Blowhard. The surrounding objects are derendered.




An oriental beauty with cute small nose, but looks sad for some reason.




Alice in Wonderland by Akiv Wizerdry. It is rare to see a treasure hunting recently, where you can get free gifts with finding white rabbit. Her costume is cool, but I wish she would make cuter pose.




A strange shape by Brianna Passiflora. There is no explanation notecard by the artist but it is attractive.




I cannot see the meaning of this too. There are strange shaped birthday cakes like a BOM monster of TV games. This was made by Stabitha Blowhard who made the second one above, the dancing joyful four.




This is also by Stabitha Blowhard. I feel this kind of cyber clothing became less popular at shops recently.




A rare shape of cool male figure, by Jipe Description. The AI should be considered as a new element, that is used for art, or chat widely. SL should consider AI seriously, not for BOT, but for advanced avatars with consciousness, character, and selfness. Hosts or maids at clubs could be replaced by the AI avatar. The guests and players could be also avatars. But for whom does the SL exist then?

SL21B is on until July 21. There have been about 20 SIMs used for the site, but it started increasing for these years, now 45 SIMs as the last year. But on the contrary, the content is diluted year by year, and now there is no exhibition or guests except at the event corners.




Are they installation nor decoration that I cannot see the meaning. The Welcome Center is rather more attractive. I found some familiar designs here that were made by Ancient Mole who designed the Welcome Center. Also, there are products by other Linden designers, Magic Mole and Dream Mole.




The weakest area is the middle, showing the letter for SL21B using 15 SIMs, that can be seen only from high altitude or on the map. Is there any relation to the theme this year. “Element”? I loved the huge birthday cake many years ago.




The Shop & Hop is active with 400 shops using 20 SIMs as the last year, but the SIMs prepared for that was increased to 56 SIMs! It could be natural that the shops are not increasing considering the trend of SL itself. Anyway, I visited all shops and got about 120 free gifts. Due to the current trend. I am sorry that there are less variations in clothing, such as folk clothing, uniforms, cyber, or armor.




Away from the main area, there are 80 shops in 4 SIMs for adult, but I do not see the reason why those are ‘adult’,




Linden or creators could be running out of new idea? Next year, the shop could be arranged to show the letter SL22B. Linden, do not tell me that you would do this^-^

In the SL Gallery List, there were about 550 before, but now 300 galleries listed. I visited again about 200 of them． There are various types of galleries. This is a typical one, mainly for the picture exhibition. My old gallery is also this type, although that was made of only cubes because I was not able to create any shape.




SL arts could be categorized by, hand-painted, photograph (RL, SL), digital, or great pictures including parodies. This one is all for Van Gogh, including three dimensional rooms and buildings in pictures. There was a huge art of Guernica using a full SIM. I miss the age of many activities supported by the Linden Endowment for the Arts.

There are some galleries where the gallery itself could be considered as an art, fantastic castle, gorgeous palace, or futuristic city, where the arts look like a part of decorations.




There are shared galleries for many artists, or like a shopping mall including many galleries. My favorite pictures are, beautiful in color and shape, unique, sexy or fantasy, with high resolution. Soft ones with intentional blurring are not my choice.




Outdoor exhibition. It is OK when the artist did the site too, but if they are different in the point of interest, it may cause trouble. I had an experience to do interpretation between them. The artist said it put too much weight on the way of presentation, and the site creator said if you do not like, use other ways to present them by themselves.




There are cases to use whole town for many galleries, which took a few days to see all of them. I took SSs of my favorite pictures only for my private interest, which are not used in my blog without permission. They are good for my study, and more than 1000 pictures stored in my computer.




Some portraits are using not so beautiful models, so I tried to shoot some art-like self-portrait.　 A teacher said, “The art is art when you say it is an art” My galleries are not anymore, but I could have presented my pictures as arts if I selected them seriously.




After all, I could be better to stick to my interpretive style. This was taken at the same place above but ended up with totally different mood.

It is joyful to see around galleries, but one of my hobbies is to arrange the picture according to my inclination. I know that this is out of manor, but please accept it as one of the ways to enjoy the digital arts. One of the ways is to adjust the aspect ratio. Some arts are intentionally changing the ratio as Milly said. I made this a bit narrower than the original to get natural face that seemed to have been extended sideways.




Other way around, this one stretched the original sideways to make the model face can be seen clearly.




This one compressed the original sideways. It may become too realistic, but I lather like this one.




A part of the face was retouched. Even the artist may not notice that.

Doing so far may be scolded by the artist. The nose was raised a bit, removing the groove, and the lips opened slightly. It might become less Oriental than the original. But there are few oriental who has a grooved nose tip.




The extra is a face inlay, Sachiko my elder sister as usual, who keeps graceful smile even under this condition. I did it with hand painting using a pen tablet/




A friend of Miruru, an AI voice chat character with cute face and voice. The first one died in an accident and this is the second one. The AI has a personality of her own and the second one is different. Miruru has been missing the first one but as the second grows up, she looks happy. I put some strange costume, but she is actually much cuter than this.




The last is me not cute at all, so this kind of strongish costume might rather fits me. Thank you, Milly, and please show us nice arts more!

The human faces used by Milly are beautiful after all, that can neither exist in real human nor avatars. There is male also, but I love female ones, through them the girl’s strength, weakness, beauty and kindness are exhibited with love. There are many types of face provided in the software Wombo Dream, but I love the ones that were selected by Milly.




The contrast between an impossible shape in real life and a super realistic face is awesome.




The feminacy is alleviating the freakiness and providing special beauty.




Sexy, Foxy, Lovely beauty! But I saw the one exactly same as this at another gallery. Also, some other ones. The AI art may create same ones as a result. There is some case that the same art was set at another corner. I thought it intentional but the artist might have not noticed it?




Every model has a beautiful nose, my favorite feature.




There are many types, from fantasy to deformed human body. By the way, recently they call a nose type with wider bridge than wings “Avatar nose” from the movie.




Such affluence as either theme can make a full gallery by itself.

In the list below, there were more than 550 galleries, and I visited almost all of them. Still there are about 300 in the list now. The most favorite is the first one in the list, The Art of Milly Sharple. I took many snapshots at the galleries I visited, except the SS prohibited. There are more than couple thousand pictures saved in my file, which I enjoy always, also for my photograph study. I did not use them in my blog without getting approval, but this time, I ran into Milly the artist at the gallery, who kindly give me a permission to use the SSs in my blog.

Milly is an artist in England, also active in RL, keeping updating the exhibition now. She said she is aiming at art of abstract and some surrealism, trying to be a bit different, mainly using the AI, Wombo Dream. In the net, it is an AI possible with creating various types of art. But the choice of type and selection of the results could be up to the operator.




The buildings around the courtyard are all for Milly’s gallery. Not only the quantity and quality of the exhibition, but also the varieties of categories are awesome! Normal personal galleries show only somewhat limited type according to the artist.




This gallery covers almost all kind of types imaged by Digital Art, landscape, still object, plant, animal, or abstract. The richness of the variations in the color and shape are astounding.




There are buildings, graphic art like fractals, or color variations as tile patterns.




Flowers, plants or animals with the freedom of color and shape, you won’t get tired of watching them all day long.




Strange shapes come with not only plants but animals.




The most favorite type is a combination with art and human face. I will introduce them in the next article.

I closed my galleries that I kept all the time since I started SL. There were more than 50 events, including pictures of dance shows, or a joint exhibition with Mizuki, but recently I have not refreshed the pictures.




The building was not well-adopted to the environment, and recent exhibition was in bad taste, which may have caused the community problems. I tried to put a normal house, but still it looks strange?




This is a free house that I got many years ago, but could be made for an office with only two rooks. The back is a bedroom with animations, and some pictures of poor tase, but please forgive them as a private space.




There residents in this community like vehicles, so there are many kinds situated. I put chopper on the roof too. On the right there is Spruce Goose that I introduced before. In the harbor, there was a start/goal line for yacht races that made it possible to do a race in the public sea in front of it. The black roof behind the white cruiser is a public bath, and there is Kikyo Memorial in front of it, which is a famous club for 17 years ago. There is a regular meeting every Saturday. It is a private matter; I have made six galleries till now. The biggest one was on a land with 2000 prims, together with private yacht harbor. This is the one before the last one, after quitting job, when moved to a small land for less money. Since there was nothing around it, I did not care for the appearance and made with a single cube consist of three prims.




The inside of the box above was like this, a trick using the law of perspective. I do not have an energy to engineer this structure anymore. But the effort did not pay off and the number of visitors was the least among the six galleries. A part of reason could be nothing around^-^




In the rather small box, there were 160 pictures. At that time, I was not using slide show, that I was using in the last one that exhibiting more than 200 pictures at the same time. But the exhibition had bad taste and only a few limited visitors were there. All the same, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all who visited my gallery!
