The last cherry

Brought out many cherry trees at the vacant lot of Kazumi’s church. Took them away as soon as I shot pictures. It was impossible to put so many trees, so the ones at distance are composite.

This picture is not a composite but a real one now at Temi’s Teahouse. At Baba SIM, cherry trees have been in full bloom throughout the year. I was derendering them normally but put the same type of trees this time.

Under the cheery trees, still there is a photo exhibition “Amigos of Baba” until March 31st.

Deleted the camping car. Also the pictures and buildings around were erased with derender and viewing distance. It became strange scenery like a shelter wood with cherry trees, being a far cry from the wonderful pictures in the Yana’s blog…

Amigos at Baba

The SIM where Baba Meeting Area is will be closed as of March end. The first Japanese site that I visited when I started SL was the Yakitori Shop Kikyou. Kikyou Loon the mother kindly taught everything to me who was a newbie. The shop Kikyou moved SIM from Mogu, to Coo, Baba, and Baba Twins, but the spirit of Kikyou, to be kind to beginners and free from tipping has been kept by Kazumi the small mother even after Mama Kikyou retired. There are still about 700 members in the terminated group, which could be considered as a spiritual home in SL.

Temi’s Teahouse that has been opened since Edo era will also be closed at March end. It was not functioning as a shop but thank you all who visited here to enjoy(?) seasonal landscape. In March, there are about 40 pictures presented here. The subject is “Amigos at Baba”. I did not shoot them for this purpose, so there will be someone shown too often or missed completely, but please enjoy again activities at Baba in the past year.

Being a little ahead, I cleaned up (erased) leftovers. Howl’s Moving Castle appeared at the vacant lot of Baba meeting area. The Meeting Area has moved to the new spot that is registered in sl-link also. The new LM is available at a billboard at the old site.

Got an interesting picture of open-air tea house with a moving castle as the background. Teahouse will stay as is throughout March. Please visit to view the pictures.

Burning

If you come too near the fire at Temi’s Teahouse, you will catch fire. It burns with great fury.
Temi’s Teahouse: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Baba%20Twins/168/99/22

It will not be extinguished by running around or jumping into a pond. It burns until you are incinerated…. Not actually, it will go away after a while without leaving any burn injury. It will be left behind when you go out of my area and come back upon return.

Put a fire on the snowman. He does not walk, so I caught fire myself, went to the snowman, and teleported leaving the fire behind. I asked my sister to do this.

Since I saw it was possible to ignite snowmen, I burnt them. Is he made of methan hydrate?

This fire can be set at any place, so I put it on the pipe of the snowman to make a lantern.
The Baba SIM where Temi’s Teahouse is will be closed at the end of March. There will be only one facelift in this space…

Winter

Now it is December and Baba Meeting Area was covered with snow. The swimming pool was changed to a skate rink, and snow also covered the Alice’s forest. The snow is not a plate with texture but made of mesh that is possible to increase the depth.

A small Kamakura (a Japanese igloo) that only holds four persons. Thank Kazumi for always preparing something new.

The space is smaller than one eighth of a SIM, but Kazumi has been creating nice atmosphere. This forest contains only five prims but has ten kinds of texture that makes it possible to prepare seasonal trees.

Temi’s Teahouse was also changed to a kind of snowscape. I had meant to create an ice castle, but while putting snowmen, I used up the prims. The water droplet chairs made by FreeWee were also set here.

I forgot where I got the snowmen. It might be made overseas since it was made of three balls. (A snowman is made of two balls in Japan) This one is modifiable. I would make different faces sometime. Snowmen around a fire, a bit bizarre.

Autumn

I was lazy on seasonal monthly change of Temi’s teahouse. This is the fifth change, so there were only every two months. Again pumpkins as the last year. I put as many as prim limit. One prim for one pumpkin, so it is possible to arrange them freely, but it needs work to make a pumpkin field or a pyramid. This was to be expected…

Flowers

There are many beautiful spots introduced in Yana’s blog. This is one of them. There are many flower gardens in SL but this one is using one full SIM. Many kinds of flowers can be seen while strolling around the SIM. One drawback is that roll-paper type texture is observed if looking down from the air. It is recommended walking.

I was lazy this year and did not put bamboo bush and decorations for Vega Festival. In the meantime the rainy season was over. I rushed to remove the fences with tulips and put some sunflowers. I wish I could have that kind of flower garden like the SIM shown above. I have bought a lot of flowers but still I was not able to make it. It could be a matter of ability…

At the Baba Meeting Area across the street, the swimming pool was frozen over but it has jjust opened. There are many new playing gears set this year and dance balls were renewed. Thank you Kazumi!

Temi's Teahouse in May

Any flower is beautiful if there are thousands of them. It is a kind of dream world…

It I have not seen many carp pennants this year in RL, and I forgot to put them at Temi's Teahouse. The Golden Week holidays passed somewhere along the line. The fence is only for decoration that is phantom and possible to pass through.
Temi's Teahouse: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Baba%20Twins/168/99/22

I do not know the name of the flower, but I put them as much as possible. I had meant to set many flowers with multi-color all over the place, but still I have not found suitable ones.

It reminds me of the serene opening of Nausicaa, "Musigoyasis are sending out afternoon spores." Is there the Fukai (toxic jungle) in SL? Please let me know if any.

Cherry

Another cherry season at Baba, although there was a place with cherry flower in full bloom all year long. There was a cheery festival at Washington DC. I was in the US for ten years but never had a chance to see the cherry blossom at Potomac.

The second cheery season for Temi's Teahouse since it was moved in Baba. A cheery tree standing in a pond on the left is to avoid branches penetrating boundary.

Last year I was doing like this, made slow progress… Tried to visit the planet Pandora for a change, but it was unable to find the world of floating rock or space station.

At that time, there were many Linden bears for contribution sitting at Temi's Teahouse. I hope the collected money was of actual help. We have a long way to go but let us share the joyful time together in SL, there is no earthquake or radiation.

Japanese Plum

Removed snow at Temi'sTeahouse and set Japanese plum trees. It became a bit monotonous since I have only one kind of plum.
Temi's Teahouse: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Baba%20Twins/168/99/22

Almost one year has passed since I set the teahouse at Baba. Starting with cherry trees, there were carp streamers, tender greens, bamboo bush, Vega Festival decorations, morning glories, cosmos, autumn color, and snow. This plum makes a loop.

The below is the teahouse last month. The snow was there since last November. The four seasons at Temi's Teahouse have been set since it was at Edo SIM, but now it may become stereotyped. This year I would do something else.

Happy New Year!

Wish you a better year this time. I will challenge high quality snap shots this year. (This one is not ^-^) There is my house at Temi's Teahouse and this is a sort of an entrance. The house is small with only living and bedroom, but plants will be changed at each season. Please take a look as a part of Baba Meeting Area.
