Incilico again 3

There are several figures in the city. This is a mobile suit or a robot?

A beautiful cyborg? In the AGIS I found a room where some component parts of this are prepared.

Recent figures became beautiful and have more variations than avatars. The middle is a shop attendant at Buddha Bowl. The right is a receptionist at AGIS Medical, who looks with a bit authority.

This is not a figure but a real avatar, Miss Maz, a resident of Incilico. She kindly explained about the city. The most information in this article are from her or from note cards available in the city. Maz said that after 9 years in her SL, this is the best RP place that she have found for what she liked to do. Right now there are 89 players in the Roleplayers Group. Probably about 60 or so are active at various times. There are 6300 members as of today. As the shopping area shows, there will be an effect of substantial underpopulation together with the SL…

Maz is involved in the Underground faction, her character is an illegal cybernetic surgeon involved with some of the organized crime syndicates. This is her own lab.

I cannot see the purpose but this machine is cool. The most of objects in this world were created by Stark Osterham, one of the owner group. Stark has built a new SIM, NeoShoda. He started the work in February this year and finished this summer. Maz kindly guided me to the new SIM. I will report it next time.

Incilico again 2

Inside of the AGIS Medical (Advanced Genetics Institute of Science). Like a Big hospital but this is an academy and institution for genetics work treating cyborgs, androids, clones, or mutants, and the major company in Incilico. They say AGIS is producing the future of engineered life forms to help change the solar system for all mankind。

In the building, there are many kinds of medical and experimental facilities. My clothing is from Incilico that does fit this circumstances.

Is this for medical attention or modification?

Is this a pot for cloning? I should have taken clothing off but anyone could come along…

Mars is still a part of this program but the base was changed. The terraforming of the Mars seems to be completed and it is possible to go out without space suits. In the RPG, Mars is the combat zone, most of the action type stuff happens down there. Lately there has been a bit of intrigue in the city, with AEON displacing Gemini Cybernetics as administrators of the city, and contracting new security. Various other plots are going on. Some people have been attacked by a rogue A.I. and last night there was some arson at the Aftermath club.

Inside of the base at Mars. It seems interesting as a combat zone few players were there when I visited. One of the resident said that many of the players are based in Europe, and a many in the Americas, so the sim is busy at different times. Around 9am-3pm SL time is when many of the European players are on, after that many of the American players get on. The busy tome is from 0:00am to 6:00am JPT that is hard for me to make.

Incilico again 1

After a long interval I visited the aerial city Incilico. This is the main shopping area
Incilico: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/INSILICO/193/179/3602

The same place when I visited two years ago. There are a few stores as they were, without them I was not able to find the same spot.

The panoramic view of the four SIMs of Insilico that was not possible to shoot due to the camera restriction before.

The center. Two years ago, there was a transportation system and many terminals were set here and at about fifty places in the city. Now all TP posts were gone and it is required to get LMs through the note card.

The store below the large statue at the low mid is Buddha Bowl. I thought it is a special dish for Buddha but I found that there is such a bowl with many toppings in RL. As before, the city of Insilico is very dark and it is hard to walk. If you stray away, you will drop from the sky. May be out of form but I adjusted the lighting when moving or shooting pictures.

Looked for some places where I visited before, and found Club Seven Seas, Blue Ant, Diner Car, and martial arts training center. This is the Club Fusion where I loved the beautiful terrace.

There are many facilities that were not seen before. I will explore some of them next time.

INSILITO 3

A bar named Blue Ant facing an open space. The ant shape behind me is overwhelming by itself. The following is a part of the text of the RPG.
“The cities are controlled by many different rival mega-concerns in the science and weapon industry, yet most parts of the population don't care about the large scale politics and established connections on many levels between the cities. There exists a thriving black market for weapons, drugs, software, food, cybernetics and other technology which remains nearly uncontrollable by the big businesses”

There are several bars and clubs in the city. They could be attractive even in the normal world.
“The city is governed by an Artificial Intelligence operating out of one of Gemini's server clusters ensconced within their orbital data fortress. Many aspects of daily life are under near complete control of the AIs. Because INSILICO is entirely owned by the corporations, the only law enforcement bodies are corporate security forces. These organizations only concern themselves with matters that directly impact the company, and their employees. Disruptive and public crime is only looked at reluctantly, to keep their employees feeling safe and happy.”

“Surrounded by skyscrapers the citizens try to do their job and live their daily life, struggling with the corporate oppression and rampant criminal activities. Most INSILICO residents are armed, some, rather heavily”
A dining area with familiar appearance. Even in the future world, the form of eating might not be changed drastically.

A place like a hospital. The technology might be well advanced, but it looks a bit inhuman.

A corridor in an apartment. I thought it was a jail.

A living compartment. There are some rooms already occupied with some furniture, but they do not seem cozy in a current way. It could be natural as a stage of RPG but there is few entertainment facility. Shooting range and ashram for martial arts were there though.

A park at the center of the city. Plants were completely with hydroponics.

These plants are common in any place but looked very fresh after viewing this area for a while. I wish the future is not like this. But thank the creators for the very interesting world!

Mars Base

The primary objective may be mining, so the base rather seems like a mine rather than a station.

A base in the depths of Valles Marineris. In SL, underground facilities is exposed by putting camera down. But in the RPG, any ability like this that a human/machine couldn’t realistically accomplish through augmentation are not permitted.

There might be some area where terraforming was not completed. Airlocks are at the base.

There is Coca Cola that is also seen around the world. In China it is described as “good mouth good joy”

While strolling around the base, there were several doors saying restricted area. Found myself at a door to outside that does not open. Somewhere along the line I got into the restricted zone. Sorry…

At the front yard of the base, there was a statue made of sand of Mars. Judging from the margin to do this kind of work, even in the harsh environment the human life could be somewhat down-to-Mars. Next time I will return to the city.

Mars

Surface is similar to the Mars I saw at the NASA SIM. Unfortunately these mountais are three-dimensional background that I cannot enter.

The light setting at the site is rather dark. Could be because of the distance from the sun.

Adjusted the sun position to get some feeling. Sorry for the creator.

Noticed a familiar creature that I saw at the planet Pandora.

Terraforming seems to have been achieved to some extent and space suit is not required. The temperature and ambient pressure are understandable, but the Japanese letters are ‘corpus’ and ’47 samurai’

It is said that corporations fight over Mars, wanting control of the resources and potential. Battles have been fought over the territories, artillery set up on the flanks of Olympus Mons.

There are several bases on the Mars. I will visit them next time.

INSILICO 2

Residential areas are off limits but most places are free to enter. A hall like a hotel lobby.

Flood of shaped forms not relying on textures are cool.

Chinatowns are seen in any place in the world. To see it also in a future city is joyful or fearful

There was such an atmosphere like a Chinatown in a movie Blade runner. There is a raining area here too.

A club named Fusion in the downtown with elegant design that fits in the surrounding buildings. It is said that there are more than 1.000 RPG members here, but I seldom see them may be due to the time difference.

A small deck for airborne machines. It seems that not so many peoples are using this since the transit system is well developed.

Space port. Space remains largely unexplored. Small collecting operations lie scattered about, a gas on the dark side of Mercury, red-dusted silicate on Mars, sulfide of Io, nitrogen-ice of Pluto. These are almost all autonomous, mankind mostly only risking so far as Mars.
It can be seen that these SIMs were elaborately crafted by watching this only. There are more structures like this spread over the four SIMs. I think this is the most sophisticated area that I have ever seen in SL. The transit system reaches Mars providing instant TP. Next time I will explore Mars.

INSILICO

Visited INSILICO, a RPG SIM of future world. At the first glance it looks messy but there are many wonderful worlds within it.

There are four SIMs including several sky stages and it is a big job to see all of them. They were not made of repetitive structures but independent areas that were finely made respectively with unified image.

It is the year 2483. The planet lies broken and dying. INSILICO is a dark futuristic metropolis, slowly floating thousands of meters high above the surface. It is one of many cities, serving as the last airborne asylums for the small extant human population that has been forced there. The transportation is in the air and transit systems. There are many terminals like this in the city. Touch the board named Transit System and select a destination to TP. More than fifty points are available.
Information Center: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/INSILICO%20NORTH/128/69/2757

The desolate terrain is cast into shadow, massive swaths of darkness punctuated by the occasional glare of unobstructed UV. Raw materials are the only reason to return back down to our old home, collected by the corporations in tightly sealed and monitored mining operations.

This could be a ruin of a machine for artificial cultivation that can be seen in the city in the air.

Built over 150 years ago, INSILICO is the oldest airborne city. It is so huge that the camera cannot be pulled back further. There is no base plate in this city, so you will fall if you stray away at some area.

The central shopping area. This area alone can be equal to a small normal town. Although this is a stage for a RPG, visitors are not required to wear a special tag. Anyone may visit Insilico freely, including those character types that aren't otherwise permitted to engage in the RP, but child avatars are not allowed. Do not interfere with people currently engaged in RP, but if role players enter an area that you are in, you do not need to leave. IM is recommended between visitors. Next time, I will stroll around the city.
