Pandora Again

For a change visited Pandora again and found another change. This new SIM seems to be started early this year. There is only one SIM which looks a bit simplified. There is also the talk tree but the area is small and no sprite floating around. Second look found that there were some figures in the tentacles.

This is the sprite that I shot at the first time. This picture was used at the joint exhibition with Mizuki, “Out of Bounds World”. As same as Mizuki’s method, the only modifications were to cutout and add a frame. The sprite served an important role in the movie and there are many small ones drifting around the Tree.

Nostalgic luminous plants. It was easy to shoot a picture like this before, but now I have to search about a suitable place.

I met a clan she kindly guided me to various spots. There are sand beach and under sea.

I asked if there was under sea in the movie and she answered it might be in the next one. It is said that there are now two sequels under production but it could be three. In those sequels, the under water world might be included.

In this third modification, the four SIMs turned into only one SIM. The big tree on the right is a family tree like a group of tree houses. Both the tree and floating rocks were made for rental space. The old articles and pictures are in the pages below.

Mermaid show

Viewed a mermaid show by Elegante Sereia, “Phantasy Planet”. The photos are now on exhibition at my gallery. This was their third anniversary. The photo exhibition I did three years ago was their first performance. I have overlooked the performances since then, but this time there were two stages and one of them was matinee that I was able to view.

I got OK to use the photos in my gallery but as usual they are not an introduction of the show since I swung camera wantonly. But I hope you may enjoy some angles that you did not see at the show.

Sometimes the attached camera goes into changing of clothes situation.

There was a story in English but I was not able to follow while shooting pictures. That could have been a story of a dreaming planet. About twenty photos are now on display at the second floor of my gallery. The third floor is still for composite photos.

The stage was inside of a sphere in the sky. The set outside was also cool. Thank Elegante for the wonderful show!

According to the change at my gallery, the photos of Team ASH were moved to my archives shown below. The archives include all pictures that were exhibited at my gallery before.

Music Land3

Livio kindly guided me to the keyboard laboratory. The appearance does not convey the lab feeling.

There were some electric instruments. The white one is a synthesizer that can produce sounds here. In SL, there are many musical instruments that have tones, but regretfully none can be played actually because of time lag. The ones behind could be music pads. For reference, the below is example of playing it in RL. That is a strange interface that could be used as keyboard, rhythm machine, or multi-track recorder.

This is a legendary Moog that I touched at a music class at UC Irvine in a synthesizer class. From top to bottom, there are sequencer, filter, and oscillator. The various wave form generated from oscillators like saw-tooth or rectangle will be modified through filter and envelope generator, and synthesized into a creative tone. But since this is monophonic, only one tone at one time, so normally it requires multi-track recorder to make music. Now it became possible to create any tones through digital instruments. The URL below is a virtual accordion that may be only for a person who can play original accordion.

What does this relate to music? It was possible to sit in this submarine.

Is this a factory for instruments? Inside of a building on a floating rock.

At the dark corner, there was a shattered person with a bottle. Chairs upside down or balance beam with performance, I was not able to see what they are related to music. But I see that Livio was enjoying freely in this SIM. It is nice to see a gallery full with abstract paintings that declare ‘We are arts’, but it is also joyful to walk in every hole and corner of this kind of SIM.

Music Land2

There are more than 30 kinds of musical instruments in this art. The color and size are different. This one is a huge trumpet. Some details are missing but the shape is realistic.

A grand harp held by a cool deer. Most of the large objects here are phantom and I cannot sit on.

A rare one, a French horn with six valves. Since this seems not to be double, there will be some alternative key replacing two-key operation.

Also recorder is huge! There are animations for balance beam in this instrument, and it is possible to give a performance, slip down, and also limp around.

The main subject will be musical instruments, rather than music itself. The stairway to the grand piano introduced before was made of violins. To be continued.

Music Land

Visited LEA Full-SIM art, “Music Land” by Livio Korobase. The theme seems to be 7Music’, but the entrance is a normal European city…
LEA 11: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA11/227/195/22

A cool square like a cortile. Beautiful, but where is the music?

Seen from the outside, the buildings are under a huge grand piano. The theme of this SIM might be musical instruments and there are many kinds of them with various size and color.

There are music stages on the rocks floating in the sky. There is narrow path in between.

Surprisingly it was easy to walk through. Second look confirmed that the prim was wider than the appearance. To see alpha channels is Ctl+Alt+T, that is also effective to look for lost objects.

There was a person sitting on a chair upside down. He was the creator of this art, Mr. Livio Korobase from Italy.

I was not sure how this relates to music, houses on a flying whale. It is said that whales can sing, so is that the meaning? The musical instruments will be introduced next time.
