Philosopher’s Stone
Visited LEA full-SIM art, “The Philosopher’s Stone” that is featuring the work of 15 artists interpreting 15 philosophers in original artworks. This project strived to create art exhibitions provoking fun, entertaining, and educational, also encouraging collaboration, sharing of knowledge, exploring ideas with various techniques and technologies.
The Philosopher’s Stone: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LEA17/35/222/25

The map of the arts with the name of artists and philosophers whose name I ever heard. There are both seasoned and novice artists.

The idea began from an article about a project a teacher had given his young students to draw what they thought a philosopher looked like, to have a group of artists “interpret” a philosopher. For me the art is sometimes clear as mud, and this time ‘philosophy’ was added a fortiori. It could be Greek.

The ground was set by Pixels Sideway the organizer. There is a pile of columns like a Parthenon.

When walking into, the columns around me are lifted up. This movement alludes to the idea of thought and reflection. The following is extracts from the artist’s comment.
This alludes to the idea of thought and reflection…under one of the columns is a revelation that leads to a place of deeper meditative thought.... and that revelation is a hidden teleport. Where does philosophical thought come from? Sometimes they are revealed in mysterious way… we uncover something that leads us to a revelation, and thoughts are dynamic -- they are always moving around in our minds -- so if each column were a thought or fragment of a thought or idea or concept, we might come across something that is like an "ah ha!" moment -- a revelation of sorts -- and that can lead to a deeper reflective meaning, or it could just be a fun place with moving columns under which one is a hidden teleport to a secret place :-)

There is a meditation space with colorful images dancing, but I liked the moving columns and tried to lift them up as far as possible. The columns keep lifting as I fly up. It is fun as if I got special power.

The movement is rather slow. I went down quickly and the columns were left behind, descended calmly. I did not see what kind of thinking this movement depicted, but it was fun to watch.

To be continued.

Rape blossoms
Visited a field of rape blossoms that was introduced at Yana’s blog. It is a beautiful SIM named good fortune, with full of beauty of the natural scenery.

Row of cherry trees covered by acqua alta? This can be seen only in SL, freewheeling thinking. I built my gallery ignoring gravity or structural integrity, but in the same breath I was worrying about cherry trees planted on the beach… Yana’s blog is always introducing beautiful SIMs. Feel lonely when visiting there alone though.

Bamboo Cutter
Viewed the spring performance by Milky Maihime, The Tale of the Bamboo-Cutter and the Moon Princes. I have not read full text of the original story that can be read in the above.
Story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_the_Bamboo_Cutter

So attractive even at the moment of birth. It is natural that many princesses were fascinated.

Transformed to a beautiful princes in just about no time. In the original story, it took only there months from an infant of height of 9cm to an adult.

This show did not use quick stage changes but a bamboo boat moving between stages. This is an act where men were asking for hand in front of gorgeous house of the whitebeard who became rich with gold that was found in the bamboo bush.

Audiences were sitting in a small area so it was easy to shoot all of them. Some found difficulty to find sitting space and someone stood up and dropped although it was told not to stand up.

Gorgeous room that reminds me of the inner palace of the castle at Edo. It is creating an atmosphere within the limited space.

Guard women trying to fight against people from the moon.

The Moon Princes performing final dance waiting for the mission from the moon.

The bamboo boat did not face toward the stage, so it was necessary to move camera. Some one did not know it and said she was not able to see the stage. I also almost missed the mission coming in without someone said “Look left!”

Another idea than the bamboo boat was to change clothing on the set within blowing out particles. It was quick and could end up with gray mess in a heavy SIM, but it was cut it beautifully. The final act, dance together with the mission. It was a bit disappointing that the faint love with the emperor was not included in this show, and the ending that he burnt the immortal medicine which the princes gave him.

The princes was banished to the earth due to her sin. In this show, the sin was “an attempt to be special person by herself”. Since the sin was expiated, the whole agony at the place of exile will be cleared and forgot, but could the life on the earth be rather happy memories? The show ended with the theme that I did not notice when reading the original. Thank you Milky Maihime for the wonderful images!

Evil Bloom Viewing
The dance theme at Baba last week was ‘bloom gazing by the evil’. Kazumi grew mammoth at the beginning this time.

I tried to go wrong as much as possible but was not equal to the garnish on Kazumi’s skirt.

Is this a wasp or a roach? The evil should be insects for Hisanori who was attacked by a swarm of caterpillars at his dorm.

The cool guy is Suzuo the ex-dancer. A damnatory figure is on his shoulder.

Satan will be suitable for the evil, but Tomoko brought in a bunny girl. Are you an old conservative patriot with national flag? The theme tomorrow has not been announced, but please drop in.

Spring Ski
I have not done skiing this year, so I visited the forest of Totoro. The flower garden is in full bloom but there is plenty of snow on the hill behind.
LittleWitchForest: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/LittleWitchForest/115/56/23

There is neither lift nor wide slope, but it is joy to make short turns in a small area. In season nobody cares for photo shooting while racing around but at the end of season we see that there will be no further improvement this year, and can enjoy shooting.

It is happy to find a little longer slope. It is easy to ski on a spring snow since the ski does not sink and the edges work well.

The stained snow does not slide well, but I glided down leusyrely without using poles.

To walk all the way to a spot where snow ends is also spring skiing. It is also spring to worry about snow when watching cherry blossom on the way to the ski resort.
