From Japan to SL

The dachshund has a pathfinding function and walks around obstacles. I made a maze but she handled it matter-of-factly. When I say “come” while walking around the outside, she comes to the nearest point passing through the maze.




I made it a bit more complicated. She hesitated at the first time but soon she managed it and comes to any spot.




This is at the training center. I put a floor to make the dog visible. I put her at the top left corner and say “come”, then she passed through the mace. Sequential photograph.




I asked the trainer how far I can make the maze complicated and the answer was as far as I like. But this might be too much. I put her on the far end and said “come”. She walked to some extent and gave up on the way. But every time when I said “come” again she started walking finding ways approaching me. It is cute that she passes the maze and reached me from anyplace in the maze following my call.




We played ‘hide-and-seek’. Keep her waiting by a command “sit”, then say “come” from a remove to let her find me. The miniature dachshund that I had in my childhood loved this game.
